saving face. (2004)

A witty romantic comedy that perfectly captures the awkward chaos of introducing your partner to your family while still figuring out who you are. and if we haven’t all lived through it ourselves, at least we can enjoy watching someone else go through it.

I Can’t Think Straight. (2008)

a forbidden romance that is way underrated. a Jordanian-Palestinian woman getting ready for her fourth wedding, falling for her best friends girlfriend, a British-Indian woman. we follow them through secrecy and family expectations, with tension that i could literally cut with a knife.
